The Overground Project started life as a privately funded indoor skatepark in Amsterdam NL in 2001. A hugely successful project, The Overground became a thriving community hub for skateboarders in the Dutch capital City. International contest series, Pro demos from the best in the world, live music practice space and creative space for all kinds of artists.. Due in part to the success of the project, the City of Amsterdam funded a purpose built space which became ‘Skatepark Amsterdam’ in 2005 and continues to this day.
In 2010 The Overground Skatepark opened in Dallas TX. An indoor/outdoor location with a 5000 sqft warehouse ‘street’ course. A world class 50’ wide Vertical Halfpipe and space for a custom built mobile ramp. Multiple contests, art shows and community events were held at the space. The mobile ramp was used for events and demonstrations around the U.S. for clients such as Thrasher Magazine, The SF Giants, Fort Hood Army post and many other City and private events.
